After graduation from King Saud university in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in  1987 , Mr.Abdulhameed Alazazi –pharmacist- came back to Yemen and worked in the Ministry of Health . In 1990 , he started his own business with a small pharmacy in the capital Sana’a and during his work in his pharmacy he came up with the idea of starting a new company . Now, ALABED is one of the biggest importers and distributors of health products in Yemen .

1992     ALABED was officially founded  by Dr.Abdulhameed  AL-Azazi .

1994     ALABED  started the actual business and received the first shipment of medicines . ALABED started with four branches
in the cities Sana’a , Taiz, Aden and Hodeidah .

2004     ALABED has reached a turning point when it was ranked 9th  among 135 importers in the top ten importers report
( as per the MOH ).

2006     ALABED opened its 5^th branch  in Dhamar city .

2007     ALABED opened  the 6^th and 7^th branches in IBB and Mukalla cities .

2007     ALABED was ranked 6^th  in the top ten importers report among 149 importers in the top ten importers report
( as per the MOH ).

2008     ALABED opened the 8^th branch in Amran city. And ranked 7^th  in the top ten importers report among 163 importers
in the top ten importers report  ( as per the MOH ).

2010     ALABED was ranked 5^th in the top ten importers report among 217 importers ( as per the MOH ).

2010- 2012 ALABED is ranked between  5-6  among 306 distributers (according to the top ten importers in  MOH  reports).
